Storms caused devastating damage on Sunday, Nov. 15, bringing wind gusts of upwards of 45 mph, leaving hundreds still waiting to turn the lights back on as of Monday, Nov. 16, according to PSEG Long Island.

The storm also led to an alert for a potential tornado landing in Suffolk County. At its height, the storm left more than 10,000 people without power, PSEG said.

In Nassau, 355 customers in Hempstead were still without power, along with 232 in Oyster Bay, and 83 in North Hempstead.
